Jon Stevens is a no-till and strip-till farmer in Rock Creek, Minn. Because of a shortened growing season, he is experimenting with interseeding cover crops, using clovers, ryegrass, vetch and oats. He is also bringing alfalfa back into a corn/soybean rotation on his 450 acres. Currently he uses a homemade strip- till bar, two John Deere tractors and a White 9222 planter.
