Over 20 years ago, Mike Wolpert was working a field that had been plowed wet in the spring, and after about the sixth tillage pass, the soil was somewhere between concrete and a softball. That’s when his wife said to him, “You know, you’re beating that ground to death. Why don’t you just no-till everything?”
So he attended one of the first National No-Tillage Conferences, and when he returned home to Hurricane, West Virginia, he decided he was going to commit to no-till 100%. He ended up making more money in those first 5 years of no-till than he had in the previous 25.
After 20 years of no-tilling, Mike shared his keys to success with the attendees of the 2016 National No-Tillage Conference.
