Soil acidification can affect crops and nutrient availability, as well as pathogens and herbicide use. Growers faced with low pH soil can be challenged by the question of what to do about it.
WSU Extension has released a series of three short videos explaining the challenges, symptoms, causes, and implications for farm management that are associated with soil pH decline. The videos summarize some of the information contained in the Soil Acidification in the Inland Pacific Northwest series of fact sheets produced by a team of WSU, University of Idaho, and USDA-ARS researchers.
