The editors and film production team of No-Till Farmer, with support of Saddle Butte Ag Bio Till Cover Crops, has announced a first-ever broadcast and podcast program on conservation ag practices.
With the rapid acceleration toward sustainable farming methods, the all-new Conservation Ag Update is a one-stop-resource that shares the latest tips, stories and resources that farmers will leverage to successfully transition to reduced tillage and cover cropping practices.
The 10-minute episodes air twice a month, and include timely analysis, product innovations, viewer videos/photos, feature stories, and exclusive interviews and tips with veteran farmers and other ag experts. The show is hosted by veteran news broadcaster Noah Newman, technology editor at Lessiter Media.
The inaugural episode of Conservation Ag Update includes a trip to the farm of renowned no-tiller Tony Peirick as he plants green into a living cereal rye. The longtime no-tiller shares the benefits of planting green and explains the how’s and why’s behind making a comfortable transition into the practice.
The first episode (available May 5 here) also includes the following segments:
- Cover Crop Connection: Georgia researcher creates new tool to evaluate cover crop incentives
- Ahead of the Curve: John Deere showcases groundbreaking precision technology
