Deere & Co. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PLA, a privately-held manufacturer of sprayers, planters, and specialty products for agriculture.

According to a report in the Capital Press, Deere & Co. claims CNH Industrial initiated the complaint with the U.S. Dept. of Justice that led to the DOJ's blocking of Deere's acquisition of Precision Planting.
Deere & Co. has reached an agreement to enable Ag Leader, a precision agriculture competitor, to offer products currently sold by Precision Planting. The agreement is contingent on Deere completing the acquisition of Precision Planting from The Climate Corp., a subsidiary of Monsanto Co.
