The USDA announced a new program to hire 100 young people as a “Climate Corps” for Agriculture.

The response rate for the 2022 Census of Agriculture was 61%; more than 40% of responses were submitted online.

Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue announced the U.S. Department of Agriculture is opening signup for the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) on December 9, 2019. The deadline for agricultural producers to sign up for general CRP is February 28, 2020, while signup for continuous CRP is ongoing.

The USDA announced today that farmers and ranchers wanting to enroll in the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) have until June 11 to file applications at their local USDA office.
