Event Description
Attendees will learn the keys to a successful cover crop experience. Registration and exhibits will kick off at 8:30 a.m. with presentations running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with lunch and additional breaks in between.
Presentations include:
- Cover Crops & Soil Health — Roger Windhorn, NRCS geologist
- Economics of Cover Crops — Byron Kirwan, NRCS economist
- Current Cover Crop Research & Management — Mike Plumer, Illinois CBMP cover crop specialist
- Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy — Peter Fandel, Illinois Central College & Illinois CBMP cover crop specialist
- Avoiding Animal Health Issues When Grazing Cover Crops — Dean Oswald, Illinois CBMP cover crop specialist
- Cover Crops & Chemical Issues (Germination/Termination) — Peter Fandel, Illinois Central College & Illinois CBMP cover crop specialist
