This year, the Conservation Technology Information Center's (CTIC) Conservation In Action tour will be at the Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) where farmers will share how they're working with the ecosystem in mind.
Attendees will see stormwater treatment areas; flooded rice protection as a cover crop for sugar cane growers; owl boxes that provide housing for barn owls, which manage pests in EAA fields; demonstrations on subsidence (soil shrinkage) in the EAA; precision agriculture and more.
