Today just happens to be one of my favorite days of the year. Why is that, I hear you ask? Is it because I realize the November general election is about to end in a month and I won’t have to put up with a seemingly endless trail of campaign ads much longer? (By the way, cast your vote for President right here.)

No, the answer is that the 2013 National No-Tillage Conference program of speakers has been finalized and we’ve loaded the program to the conference web site at www.NoTillConference.com. Yes, it’s been a lot of work to line up more than 40 speaker sessions, but it’s incredibly satisfying to reveal the schedule for the 21st annual event.

This year’s event is being hosted by the city of Indianapolis – a favorite location of conference attendees – and will be the biggest program, yet, with 25 classrooms on the docket compared to 20 in past years. And we will cover some top-of-mind topics, such as how no-tillers can protect themselves from today’s weather extremes, cover-cropping strategies, focused fertilization in the face of increasing prices, ways to build a better no-till soil biology and so much more.

Follow news about the conference on our Facebook page and be sure to review and download the 12-page conference program for all the details. We look forward to seeing you in Indianapolis from Jan. 9 to 12, 2013.
