DuPont Pioneer announced that farmers will have additional acres available for production contracts of Pioneer brand Plenish high oleic soybeans for the 2018 growing season. Soybeans contracted under this program will be processed by Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) in Frankfort, Indiana, and a network of elevators, increasing grower access to this value-added market opportunity.
Farmers who contract with ADM to grow Pioneer brand soybeans with the Plenish high oleic soybean trait in the 2018 growing season will receive a 50 cent per bushel incentive for producing and storing the beans or a 40 cent per bushel premium for a harvest delivery contract to a designated elevator.
“We’ve had success with Plenish high oleic soybeans that have been developed for this specific growing area resulting in outstanding yield and agronomic performance in the field,” DuPont Pioneer Area Lead John Demerly said. “We’re pleased to be working with ADM to bring even more higher-value soybeans to market.”
