In 1962, no-till history was made. That was the year Kentucky farmer Harry Young planted the first commercial no-till field. Today, Harry’s son John and grandson Alex manage the farm, and this year will be the fifty-sixth year of continuous no-till on that field.
In this episode, which comes from the 2017 National No-Tillage Conference, John and Alex will reflect back on those early days of no-till, some of the changes they’ve experienced over the years, and the challenges they’re currently working through.
In today’s No-Till Farmer podcast, brought to you by Copperhead Ag, we welcome John and Alex Young to share the lessons they’ve learned from the first 55 years of no-tilling.
