When my wife Pam and I visited the Hottel farm in early June, Elaine showed us two-part checks that lead to more efficient recordkeeping, slick forms to meet state and federal trucking rules, fuel usage forms, labor management rules, farm maps and other ideas to make running your own farm office much more efficient.
Thanks to her suggestion, we’ll be holding a No-Till Classroom or No-Till Roundtable session on unique farm office management ideas at next January’s ninth annual conference. being held January 10 to 13 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
While this session will be geared toward farm spouses who handle much of the operation’s recordkeeping, it will be open to every attendee.
To get the ball rolling, please send along copies of any special forms you’ve developed for your no-till farming operation. These may be forms or slick tricks that would prove valuable to other no-tillers. As an example, we’re looking for valuable forms you may have developed to more efficiently track pesticide, fertilizer and seed usage.
