Liquid Fertilizer Applicator

We’re looking for a liquid fertilizer applicator with a 35-foot-wide toolbar that will cover 16, 30-inch rows. We’d like it to have a capacity from 1,000 to 1,600 gallons and use a twin-piston pump. I have looked into DMI, Fast and Dalton. Are there any others we should consider or any comments about these machines?

We bought a 12-row, 30-inch 1,200-gallon rig and are very happy with the construction and durability of the machine.We have placed up to 60 gallons per acre with no problems. We don’t sell them, but we’re sold on them.

No-Till Drill

Anyone using a Great Plains drill to no-till soybeans into wheat stubble and vice-versa?

I like the John Deere 750 no-till drill, but I could replace it with the Great Plains for about two-thirds the cost.

I’m faced with the same situation. I have not used a Great Plains for no-tilling soybeans. I’m not sure if it would do as well as a Deere, which will put them in the ground better than anything on the market.
