VALLEY, Neb. — Valley Irrigation will be featured on FOX Business News in an upcoming segment of The Green Room titled "Industry Leaders Pioneering the Future of Sustainable Agriculture." The segment, hosted by former NBC News correspondent John Holden, will air on April 20, 2013, at 5:30 PM (ET).
For nearly 60 years, Valley Irrigation, a division of Valmont Industries, has designed and manufactured enter pivot and linear irrigation equipment for agriculture. With seven factories on five continents, and products in more than 100 countries, Valley offers the widest range of irrigation equipment to meet the demanding needs of precision agriculture.
In the April 20th segment of The Green Room, Holden will take viewers to one of North America’s largest carrot producers to learn first-hand how Valley center pivots are helping their operation.
"More and more pressure is being placed on water, one of the world’s most scarce natural resources,” said Len Adams, Valley Irrigation President. “We have made a commitment to manufacture irrigation equipment that helps growers be more productive, while also conserving water. We are proud to have our products and technological advancements featured on this segment of The Green Room.”
Valley center pivots provide precise water, chemical, and fertilizer applications that can result in improved crop yields, reduced labor costs, more efficient energy consumption, water conservation, and reduced runoff.
“Valley Irrigation is a world leader in manufacturing center pivot irrigation equipment,” said Holden. “They provide solutions to help the world’s farmers efficiently grow food while conserving water. I am excited to share their story with our viewing audience.”
