The two people, business and farm group that make up the 27th class of No-Till Innovators have spent their careers caring for the soil

The No-Till Innovator Award program, sponsored by Calmer Corn Heads and No-Till Farmer, strives to honor farmers, researchers, businesses and service providers, and organizations for their contributions to the growth and success of no-till practices. Our expert selection committee (see sidebar on p. 36) evaluated nominees on their experience with no-till, advocacy and outreach efforts, innovations, community involvement and more.

After narrowing down the pool of nominees to a select group of finalists in each category, the judges determined the 2022 honorees are:

• Dan Forgey — Crop Production (Gettysburg, S.D.)
• Ray Archuleta  — Research & Education (Seymour, Mo.)
• Yetter Farm Equipment — Business & Service (Colchester, Ill.)
• Cedar Creek Farmers — Organization (Jackson, Wis.)

The nomination process is already under way for the 28th class of No-Till Innovators, who will be recognized at the 32nd annual National No-Tillage Conference in the winter of 2024.
