Dawn Equipment Co. has launched the Model 6000 Anhydra Fertilizer Coulter, which the company says allows the application of high rates of fertilizer, whether liquid, dry, manure or anhydrous ammonia.

The company says the unit has been tested to seal 200 units per acre of anhydrous ammonia. Easy-to-reach adjustments allow applicators to control the depth of application, the angle of the blade and the aggressiveness of both the row cleaning and closing systems.

The Model 6000 can be fine tuned for soil conditions, giving applicators the ability to choose the level of soil disturbance from "hardly visible" to "clear and black," the company says.
