Event Description
The field day will meet at the Kay Electric Cooperative parking lot in Blackwell at 9 a.m. and then depart to visit cover crop fields around Kay County. After viewing cover crops attendees will return to Kay Electric Meeting Room for lunch and presentations. The field day's speakers are NRCS State soil specialist Steve Alspach and no-tiller and cover crop grower Jimmy Emmons of Leedy.
Lunch is provided but meal reservations must be made by calling Kay County Conservation District at 580-362-2438. Reservations are due by Nov. 13.
