The Freeborn Area Soil Health Team is hosting a soil health winter workshop with the Blue Earth Watershed Civic Engagement Team in Albert Lea, MN (South Central MN on the Iowa border). The workshop will feature Dan Perkins and Jerry Hatfield. Topics will include how cover crops impact water quality, inter-seeding cover crops into knee high corn, annual ryegrass and how biology of the soil is important for improving soil health. CCU's will be available for certified crop advisors.
