Amvac Chemical Corp. recently announced the addition of Acropolis Fungicide to its portfolio of crop protection products. Acropolis fungicide provides two modes of action to control resistant frogeye leaf spot infestations in soybeans. The fungicide recently received federal registration from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Locally systemic, Acropolis fungicide provides control of frogeye leaf spot for up to 21 days. In 2016 trials, Acropolis fungicide offered substantial disease reduction of frogeye leaf spot and delivered yield benefits over untreated control and competitive standards. In addition to frogeye leaf spot, Acropolis fungicide also controls anthracnose, brown spot, purple seed stain, pod and stem blight, powdery mildew, white mold/Sclerotinia stem rot and Asian soybean rust.
