“That’ll never work here, it can’t be done.” Mac Kincaid remembers hearing those words from neighbors and peers as he made the switch to no-till on his Jasper, Mo., farm. The naysayers appeared to be right initially because his first no-till corn yield failed to break the 100-bu. barrier. But Kincaid proved them wrong after adding cover crops and integrating livestock. The young farmer shares lessons learned from his journey to help other no-tillers elevate their system in less-than-ideal conditions.
You’ll Learn: How to make no-till & cover crops work anywhere & strategies for integrating livestock with no-till.
