No-Till Veteran Discusses Exactrix at Work on Nebraska Farm
Guy Swanson, a more than 50-year veteran of no-till and developer of the Yielder drill for steep slopes, narrates this video showing the Exactrix “Follow Me” feature that allows for tight turning. The steer axle has reach steering, and the tracks steer by GPS.
Carbon Programs Provide New Incentives for No-Tillers
One Central Minnesota no-tiller, John Peterson, is seeing more opportunities to earn money through carbon programs as sustainable farming practices like no-till and cover crops become more popular in his region of Chisago County, Minn.
John Peterson, who uses no-till and cover crops in his corn and soybean fields, and Anna Teeter, a conservation agronomist with Cargill, look over the soil June 16, at his farm in North Branch, Minn.
No-Tiller Gives 60-Day Update on Corn Crop
In this video from Dairyland Dairyman, watch as this Wisconsin no-tiller walks through his corn field and shows us an update 61 days after no-tilling corn into a green growing cover crop. He also gets some up close shots of how the residue management is going in his nearly 7-foot tall corn.
No-Till, No Fertilizer, No Herbicide
Greg Massa, a no-tiller in Hamilton City, Calif., posted this photo of his organic rice and estimated that his field is probably 80% weed-free. Massa’s farm includes organic rice, sheep, almonds and mandarin oranges. He also uses a 14-species cover crop mix which includes several grains, legumes and mustards.
Pretty happy with my organic rice this year. No-till, no fertilizer, no herbicide. There are a few problem spots, but it's probably 80% weed free pic.twitter.com/xwZc4nRKlB

Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Visits No-Tiller Zach Smith’s Farm
Mike Naig, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture, noticed Zack Smith’s farming innovation and decided to pay him a visit alongside State Senator Dave Rowley. Smith showed them the various corn configurations and some wider 60-90-inch gaps in spacing between corn rows. Smith, who has done no-tilling and strip-tilling, created the stock cropper, a solar-powered, fully autonomous mobile barn to facilitate livestock grazing.
