The sixth-generation farmer on his family’s 160-year-old Streator, Ill., farm discusses how his operation has morphed from no-till started 40 years ago into strip-till.

Tombaugh also discusses how the convergence of vertical tillage, RTK, improved hybrid selection, worm management, pinpoint fertilizer applications, soil conditioners and improved soil health are helping him be more profitable.
