Cracking No-Till Yield Gaps with Strip-Till

After Harry Young planted the first commercial no-till crop in Kentucky in 1962, no-till became a way of life in the rolling hills of western Kentucky. But by about 2012, the region reached a yield cap with no-till corn. That’s when the practice of strip-till exploded, fueled in part by the education efforts of 2023 No-Till Innovator H&R Agri-Power. Jeff Morgan, the dealership’s western regional manager, discusses the trial and error of getting started with strip-till to help accelerate your learning curve.
