Making Sense of Soil Health Reports for No-Till

Many growers value the importance of soil health but often lack the on-farm knowledge to act upon those results to improve soil conditions. Vinayak Shedekar, Ohio State University, explains an extensive project with 4 different farms and his team’s conclusions for reliable indicators of soil health, interpretation tips and  recommended actions. The research was done in cooperation with No-Till Innovator alums Jim Hoorman and Dave Brandt (also a No-Till Farmer Legend). Shedekar serves on the Board of the Ohio No-Till Council.
