The soil health workshop in Billings will begin with registration at 8:30 a.m. and the first presentation will start at 9 a.m. Susan Tallman, a conservation agronomist and certified crop advisor, will present "Soil Health Principles." North Dakota no-tiller Gabe Brown will give a presentation on "Designing Cover Crop Mixes and Livestock Integration." Daniel Morris of Shelbourne Reynolds will discuss "Using Stripper Heads," and Clain Jones, a Montana State University Extension soil fertility specialist, will talk about "Cover Crop Effects on Soil Quality." The workshop will conclude by 4 p.m. with a local producer panel and field trial results.
Early registration ends Oct. 26 and costs $15.
