Calling All Farmers to Support & Uplift Each Other
In a recent post on X, formerly Twitter, grower and ag lawyer Dustin Kittle called on all farmers in America to share some info about their operation and help uplift each other in the comments. Many no-tillers chimed in, including Brittany Olson, who shared how no-till has helped combat erosion on her and her husband’s Wisconsin dairy farm.
Been here since 1902. @farmersam5488 and I are the fifth generation. We milk registered Holstein and Jersey cows and farm about 200 acres, 50 of which are in permanent pasture for rotational grazing. We also utilize no-till and cover crops because we have highly erodible land.

What’s Better for Combatting Climate Change — No-Till or AI?
While one ag professor in Alabama is sharing an article about a startup that is attempting to use AI to help farmers combat climate change, this Virginia farmer says no-till and cover crops would be a more effective way to do the same thing.
Feels like a company looking for investors throwing AI out for attention. Better to focus on building soil health and water permeability capacity; cover crops, better seeds, no-till, multi-species cropping. We know better soil is more climate resistant.
